A Heart Full of Gratitude🧿
Hey readers, just a quick update:
I have started posting on Substack too! This blog isn’t about any deep talks or analogies, just a simple note of gratitude.
I am truly thankful to have so many wonderful people around who show me, in quiet ways, that they are always looking out for me. Through unspoken words and gestures, they let me know they will always be a part of the different milestones I achieve.
I say this today because as soon as I started posting on Substack, I shared it on my Facebook. And just like every other time whether it was when I started a YouTube channel, posted videos, launched a blog, built a website, or now Substack, my dad has always been there.
I have never had to tell him what I am up to. He just knows. He makes an account and follows me right away. To this day, he has been my biggest supporter, and that means the world to me.
He doesn’t really understand how social media works, and sometimes he struggles with the English in my blogs, but he still translates them and reads every word. He always finds a way to let me know he will be there. Maybe 8,000 miles away physically, but emotionally, every part of my existence carries his love and a heart full of gratitude.
Secondly, my brother.
He is more of a “Send me the link, I am not Googling it” kind of supporter. But he lets me know how much I have changed and helps me reflect on my journey. I don’t know what more to write for him, since I usually just tell him everything I feel face-to-face(faceTime :)).
But when it comes to saying the same things to my dad... I don’t know. I just can’t. We usually end up arguing, yeah.
And thirdly (and importantly), apart from my blood, my friends.
The one who suggested I start posting on Substack.
The one who motivates me and inspires me to simply live.
The one who lets me be as curious as I am.
The one who lets me be vulnerable.
The ones who just get me, no explanations needed.
The one who embraces all my curiosity like it’s a gift and not a mild personality disorder.
The one who lets me cry, ramble, overshare, and still somehow says, “I’m proud of you.”
Simply finding someone as curious as you are, as emotionally mature as you are, and someone whose values and ambitious energy match yours, that’s the kind of friend you never want to lose.
For me, it’s her. And this is a thank you note.
Next would be that annoying school friend who checks in on me now and then just to see if I am doing okay. The one I don’t even need to update because, well, he reads my blogs.
Not only that, he remembers things. Anytime I start something new, he pops up with an account named “Guess,” “You Know Who,” or something equally cryptic.
Like... dude, stop.
But also? Thank you. Thank you for being a constant support and reminder.
Thank you so much, all of you, for everything.
